BEST OF ENEMIES is inspired by a true story. In 1971, a high-ranking member of the Ku Klux Klan is pitted against an African-American Civil Rights activist over the desegregation of schools. This drama exposes the p
oison of prejudice, and explores how two polarized individuals can overcome their differences.

**ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE. NONE HAVE BEEN PRE-CAST.**

MALE CHARACTERS:
1.) C. P. ELLIS, White, Exalted Cyclops of the Durham, NC Ku Klux Klan, late 30s-40s.
2.) BILL RIDDICK, African-American, college educated, community organizer, 30s-40.

FEMALE CHARACTERS:
1.) MARY ELLIS, C.P.'s wife, white, 30s-40.
2.) ANN ATWATER, African-American Civil Rights activist and Civic Leader, 30s-40.
