BEST OF ENEMIES is inspired by a true story. In 1971, a high-ranking member of the Ku Klux Klan is pitted against an African-American Civil Rights activist over the desegregation of schools. This drama exposes the poison of prejudice, and explores how two polarized individuals can overcome their differences.
**ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE. NONE HAVE BEEN PRE-CAST.**
MALE CHARACTERS: 1.) C. P. ELLIS, White, Exalted Cyclops of the Durham, NC Ku Klux Klan, late 30s-40s. 2.) BILL RIDDICK, African-American, college educated, community organizer, 30s-40.
FEMALE CHARACTERS: 1.) MARY ELLIS, C.P.'s wife, white, 30s-40. 2.) ANN ATWATER, African-American Civil Rights activist and Civic Leader, 30s-40.
