Seeking actors for the following tracks in the following shows in repertory:

SEEKING:

ASF is casting a company of actors to play multiple roles in productions of Macbeth, To Kill a Mockingbird, Around the World in Eighty Days, and God of Carnage. The following are character breakdowns for some of the currently available roles in these plays. Note that most contracts will run from December 27, 2012 through May 19, 2012, HOWEVER, there is the possibility actors can be contracted for partial season. If actor is only available for partial season please make note on submission and let us know whether they can start on 12/27/12, 1/30/13, or 3/13/13. Obviously we would like actors available for entire season, but there is some flexibility this year in casting.

Actress One

Caucasian woman, around 40. To play only Annette Raleigh in God of Carnage; will only be needed for 3/14/13 – 5/19/13. ANNETTE RALEIGH: (40-ish) a wealth manager with a host of unmet needs and frustrations at home; uses vomit instead of tears, yet can coldly, incisively attack, especially when seen as less than perfect.

Actor One

Caucasian man, 40s. Actor One will play Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird and may double with either Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days or Alan Raleigh in God of Carnage. ATTICUS FINCH: 45 yrs old, tall, dark haired but graying , classically handsome in a subdued way, with a steady, gentlemanly nature embodied in an excellent, deep, Southern speaking voice. PHILEAS FOGG: 40s. English. Cool. Calm. Urbane. Intelligent. Perspicacious. Strong emotions, constantly held in check. Good sense of humor. ALAN RALEIGH; (40s) high-power defense lawyer in a pressure cooker situation at work; very “slick” puts work before family; streak of clarity and honesty; chauvinistic macho warrior ethic – “beat the shit out,” John Wayne; manipulates language for a living but believes in god of carnage.

Actor Two

Caucasian man, 35-40s. Actor Two will play Macduff in Macbeth and may double with either Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days or Alan Raleigh in God of Carnage. MACDUFF: 35-40’s.Thane of Fife. Nobleman who wields considerable power . A soldier first and a diplomat second. Macbeth’s nemesis. Good combat skills needed. PHILEAS FOGG: 40s. English. Cool. Calm. Urbane. Intelligent. Perspicacious. Strong emotions, constantly held in check. Good sense of humor. ALAN RALEIGH: (40s) high-power defense lawyer in a pressure cooker situation at work; very “slick” puts work before family; streak of clarity and honesty; chauvinistic macho warrior ethic – “beat the shit out,” John Wayne; manipulates language for a living but believes in god of carnage.

Actor Three

African-American man, 25-35. Actor Three will double as Malcolm in Macbeth and Tom Robinson in To Kill a Mockingbird. MALCOLM: African American 25-35. King Duncan’s son. Strong. Independent. Athletic, skillful fighter. TOM ROBINSON: African American 25-35 years old, handsome with excellent speaking voice andAlabama accent, polite and gentle manner much like that of Atticus Finch.
