SEEKING:

[ALFIE BYRNE] Character is male (cis or transgender), 45, any ethnicity. A Dublin bus driver and the director of St. Imelda's Players, a community theatre troupe. He enjoys theatre, poetry, and cooking. A closeted homosexual, Alfie fears he will be banned from his Irish Catholic community. Baritone.

[LILY BYRNE] Character is female (cis or transgender), 50, any ethnicity. A conservative, Lily is the strong-willed sister of Alfie Byrne. Mezzo-Soprano.

[ROBBIE FAY] Character is male (cis or transgender), 25, any ethnicity. A charming and likeable friend of Alfie Byrne. Robbie has a secret love affair with Mrs. Patrick. Tenor.

[ADELE RICE] Character is female (cis or transgender), 20, any ethnicity. New to Dublin, Adele is kind, shy, and wise beyond her years. Soprano.

[MR. CARNEY] Character is male (cis or transgender), 50, any ethnicity. The local butcher and “leading man” in the troupe. Tenor.

[BALDY O’SHEA] Character is male (cis or transgender), 60, any ethnicity. A retired tenderhearted bartender and the stage manager of the St. Imelda’s Players. Ensemble singer and one solo. Tenor.

[FATHER KENNY] Character is male (cis or transgender), 35—55, any ethnicity. Well-intentioned priest of the local Perish. Ensemble singer. Baritone.

[ERNIE LALLY] Character is male (cis or transgender), 40, any ethnicity. Both the prop master and an actor for the troupe. While not a natural performer, Ernie loves the theatre earnestly. Strong comedic skills. Ensemble singer. Tenor.

[MRS. GRACE] Character is female (cis or transgender), 60—70, any ethnicity. The grande dame of the troupe. Ensemble singer. Mezzo-Soprano.

[MISS OONA CROWE] Character is female (cis or transgender), 40—50, any ethnicity. The spinster of the troupe. Ensemble singer. Soprano.

[MRS. PATRICK] Character is female (cis or transgender), 40, any ethnicity. Sees herself as glamorous, she has a secret love affair with Robbie. Ensemble singer. Mezzo-Soprano.

[MRS. CURTIN] Character is female (cis or transgender), 40—45, any ethnicity. Previously a child star, Mrs. Curtin is an actor and tap dance choreographer for the troupe. Ensemble singer and strong dancer. Mezzo-Soprano.
