A new cupcake is making its debut in Creme Cupcake and Dessert Lounge's cupcake case: the Show Stopper. Available just during the month of February, the Show Stopper was designed by Playhouse staff. One dollar from every Show Stopper cupcake purchase will be donated to the Playhouse. Jars of the Playhouse-designed sprinkles, featuring gold stars, are also for sale at the register with a portion of those proceeds donated to the theatre as well.

The game is afoot at the Des Moines Playhouse as they continue with their 100th season. This weekend they opened Ken Ludwig's 'Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery' and the audience was eager and ready to play along. While familiarity with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' will help with some of the humor for the show, it is not necessary. There are plenty of laughs to be had during this show.
