KING LOUIS X!V// QUEEN OF DANCE tells the story of an open rehearsal for King Louis' new solo-ballet-epic, The Sun King Rises, which spirals into chaos when the King's composer is nowhere to be found. Marie Antoinette, played by Denver Drag Monster of the Year Torey DeMarco-Douglas, arrives at Versailles to inspire her ancestor. Playwright Ryan Beaghler, also known in drag as Michelle Chakra, takes on the role of King Louis XIV, directed by local drag icon Tank of the performance collective I Don't Want to See That. The three-person ensemble is rounded out by Los Angeles actor Shayne Gottlieb, as seen in the Charli XCX music video Hot In It.
