The 2015 Bobby G Awards ceremony were held on May 26 at the Buell Theatre. Private and public high school musical theatre programs in Colorado are invited to compete in The Bobby G Awards, a regional high school musical-theatre awards program conducted by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts feeding into the National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) as a participating program for encouraging and rewarding outstanding achievements in the production of high school musical theatre.

The Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival (perry-mansfield.org/events/3/new-works-festival) now in its 18th year, brings performing arts professionals together in the Rocky Mountains to continue Perry-Mansfield's founding principle of nurturing new talent through new work. This year's festival, taking place on June 12-13 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, will feature new works from some of America's most prestigious theater companies: Atlantic Theater Company, Denver Center for the Performing Arts Theatre Company, Primary Stages, andSouth Coast Repertory. The companies will showcase four different new works in partnership with Perry-Mansfield.

Denver Center for the Performing Arts Broadway announces the 2015 recipients for The Bobby G Awards, a regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Emma Buchanan and Evatt Salinger, the 2015 Bobby G Award recipients of the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, will represent Colorado at The National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York. Both are from Durango High School's production of Les Miserables. Emma Buchanan played Eponine and Evatt Salinger played Jean Valjean.

WICKED National Tour Sets Lottery Policy for Denver Run

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to Denver with performances from June 3-July 5. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Buell Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets. WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster returns to Denver at The Buell Theatre June 3-July 5 only.
