BWW Review: SUNSET BOULEVARD at Vintage Theatre
by Emilee Hatfield - May 11, 2016
Often when we think of the glamour that is Hollywood we think of the money, fame, and perks that come with it currently. But I can remember being a young child and my great grandmother telling me about how things were back in the old days. How glamour meant many other things and how Hollywood was a place that drew everyones attention; but unfortunately not hers. She was not into the glamorous lifestyle, 'They all have two faces, and live two lives.' She would say, but unlike her I found myself drawn into the glamour that was Hollywood while attending a performance of Sunset Boulevard at Vintage Theatre.

BWW Review: GIRL OF THE GOLDEN WEST at Theatreworks
by Christi Esterle - May 02, 2016
I admit it, melodrama is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't mean 'melodrama' in the way you're thinking, with audiences booing and hissing the mustache-twirling villain as he ties some dewy blonde to the railroad tracks. I mean stories where everything-the characters, the situations, the emotions-are larger than life. It's one of the reasons I enjoy musicals so much; after all, what could be more melodramatic than singing out your feelings at the top of your lungs?
