Regional Premiere of SENSE AND SENSIBILITY Opens at Black Box Rep, 1/26

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities continues the 2017 2018 Black Box Season with the regional premiere of Sense and Sensibility by Kate Hamill on Friday, January 26, 2018. Sense and Sensibility directed by the Arvada Center Director of Plays, Lynne Collins is a playful adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel. The Off-Broadway world premiere was named Top Ten of 2014 by Ben Brantley chief theater critic of the New York Times and by the Huffington Post, which called it the greatest stage adaptation of this novel in history. Sense and Sensibility is the first of three plays that will perform in repertory running into May. Sense and Sensibility is underwritten by Diana and Mike Kinsey. The 2017 2018 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.
KINKY BOOTS Struts into the Vilar Performing Arts Center

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score), will take the stage at the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) on Tuesday, Jan. 16 and Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $88 and $108 and are available now at the VPAC box office (970-845-8497; www.vilarpac.org). The VPAC is located under the ice rink in Beaver Creek Village (68 Avondale Lane, Beaver Creek, Colorado).

Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen, announced today that the iconic musical Godspellwill join Ragtime and Our Town as the final offering in the 2018 summer season. Sara Brians joins Theatre Aspen for the first time as Godspell's director and choreographer, and long-time Theatre Aspen actor Elise Kinnon (Full Monty, Cabaret, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray) will assist.

Few DJs have made such a dramatic impact on the underground house and techno scene over the last few years as Lee Foss. Described by DJ Mag as one of the most talented new forces in modern dance music today and by fellow future house innovators Art Department as their favourite producer, Lee has firmly established himself in dance music's collective consciousness. Lee and his Hot Natured band mates Jamie Jones and Infinity Ink are currently leading a whole family of like-minded producers that includes Richy Ahmed, WaFF, Digitaria, Robert James and Miguel Campbell, who are currently re-writing the rulebook of how to make evocative, emotive house music. In 2010 he was the highest new entry into Resident Advisor's key Top 100 DJs poll, entering at number 38 and by 2011 he had climbed to number 18 in the chart, a huge feat given that he only played his first European gig in 2009.
