Hvad får man, når man tager Mikkel Rønnov og blander med The Beatles, ja så får man SHE LOVES YOU en ny og stor anlagt musical, som havde verdenspremierer her i Danmark i det smukke Tivoli og forventningerne har været høje til denne store anlagte Musical. Og mine forventninger var da også høje, da jeg i aften satte mig til rette, for skal man overhovedet røre ved Beatles udødelige klassiker?

80erne har ramt København med et brag i musicalen Elsk mig i nat, hvor det ene hit efter det andet afløser hinanden og hvis man som mig var barn i 80erne, kan man ikke andet end at have en fest. Desværre er historien i musicalen tynd som en pixibog, det er lidt som om, at man bare har taget en masse små historie og så puttet noget musik til og det virker desværre ikke i dette tilfælde, hvad angår historien, men dette bliver reddet af fantastiske skuespillere, som ovenikøbet kan synge og synger godt.

The 100 boys and girls that now make up the Tivoli Youth Guard are the current face of a tradition stretching back to 1844, when the world’s first youth guard was formed as a “Lilliputian Military”. After Tivoli opened successfully in 1843, its founder, Georg Carstensen, decided to give himself a Tivoli Boys Guard as a birthday present for Tivoli’s second season – and so it came to pass.
