Level Dance Project

Level Dance Project (LDP) is a dance studio at 1572 Whitehall Road in Annapolis, Maryland, in Jemal's Bay 50 Shopping Center. In business for more than a decade, it aims to create an atmosphere where students feel at home while receiving a rigorous dance education, and says former students have gone on to collegiate and professional dance careers. Recreational classes run for ages three and up, including adults, in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe and tumbling, with separate preschool/early elementary intro and combo classes and a youth recreational track. Most classes perform in the studio's annual June recital. LDP also fields a competition team that is by audition or invitation only, with auditions held each June and a focus on advancing dancers toward pre-professional level; staff will assess prospective dancers and recommend preparatory classes. Many instructors also teach private lessons, and summer camps and intensives are offered. New students may book a free trial class in advance.
