About this studio
Beginning Ballroom teaches private and group ballroom lessons in the Baltimore area and has operated since 2002, working mainly with engaged couples preparing a wedding first dance and with adult beginners. The husband-and-wife instructors began as a wedding couple with no dance experience in 1991, trained and competed for eleven years, then founded the business under the motto Real Dance for Real People. Wedding lessons are tailored to a couple's song, timeline and experience, and date-night lessons are offered for couples who want dancing as a regular activity. Lessons run a full 60 minutes, daytime, evening or weekends, with no long-term contracts, at the private studio, the Engineers Club, online or in a client's home.
