LA Dance is a studio at 120 South Main Street in Newton, Mississippi, celebrating its 15th season in 2026-27 under owner-teacher Lacey. Classes are offered in acro, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, tap and a turns-leaps-extensions technique class, plus short six-week series, adult classes and special routines. Students are grouped into age divisions from Twinkle Toes (18 months to 2 1/2 years) and Little Movers (3-4) through Minis, Juniors, Preteens and Teens aged 14 and up, each with its own required dancewear color. Three program tracks run in parallel: recreational classes for all ages and skill levels, which learn routines for the end-of-year recital; technique classes taken with instructor approval; and an audition-only Competition Team of the studio's most skilled dancers, who perform at all studio events and attend numerous competitions and conventions. A free trial class is offered, arranged through an online form, and the season begins in August.
