About this studio
Kalanidhi Dance is a Kuchipudi dance company and school serving the Washington metropolitan area, with a mission to inspire appreciation for Kuchipudi through artistic excellence, creative performances, high-quality educational programs and collaborations. Founded on the vision of the late Anuradha Nehru, whose Legacy Fund supports the Kalanidhi Encore, Global and Campus initiatives, the organization marked 30 years with touring, ensemble collaborations and Ranga Pravesham solo debuts for advanced students. The school teaches on a trimester calendar in Bethesda, Clarksburg and Ellicott City in Maryland and Herndon in Virginia, and also runs summer programs, outreach events and virtual programming on Kuchipudi dance dramas.
