Dance Arts Academy was founded in 1969 and has provided dance instruction in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for more than five decades, operating from San Jose, California. The school offers versatile programs for beginner through advanced dancers and for both recreational and pre-professional students, teaching a foundation of technique in a structured environment aimed at building self-esteem and confidence. The published 2026-2027 schedule includes ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and Hawaiian/hula classes, alongside floor gymnastics, with dedicated Mini, Junior and Teen competition teams that train several evenings a week.
