Tickets to Keb' Mo' at Majestic Theatre on Sale 1/15

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and AEG Live announced today that tickets for the three-time Grammy award-winning blues musician Keb' Mo' will go on sale Friday, January 15 at 10 a.m.  Keb' Mo' will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director and Loop Executive Producer Terry Martin today announced the line-up for the 2016 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, February 25 - March 6, 2016, at the Addison Theatre Centre. Six world premieres highlight this year's diverse Festival as well as 2 one-woman cabarets, 4 dance works, 1 circus act, 3 solo shows, 1 musical reading, 2 play readings, 9 theatre productions, 1 interdisciplinary piece, 1 spoken word performance, a 24-hour play festival, and many returning favorites. The Festival is made possible, in part, through the generous support of The Town of Addison and the Texas Commission on the Arts as well as media sponsors, TheaterJones.com and the Dallas Observer. The Festival is produced by Terry Martin and Kelsey Leigh Ervi.

Directed by John Rodgers the cast features Lee Skinner as Daisy - a newcomer to the Denton stage but is very familiar with the character from Butterfield Stage's production of the play. DCT is also thrilled to welcome Dunashay Thomas as Hoke. Caleb Norris, who has become a DCT favorite appearing in many productions in the past couple of years, completes the cast.

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) will show a film of the National Theatre of London's production of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare, starring Tom Hiddleston, on Wednesday, January 13 at 2pm and 7pm, and Saturday, January 16 at 1pm, in partnership with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. This will be the first National Theatre Live screening of Amphibian's 2016 season.
STT to Kick Off 2016 Season with MARTYR

Second Thought Theatre kicks off its 2016 season with an area premiere about religious fundamentalism gone wrong. Blake Hackler makes his STT directorial debut in this play by Marius von Mayenburg, which opens with previews on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and runs through February 6. All performances of Martyr will take place at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. Tickets to Martyr can be purchased online at 2TT.co.

Michele Riml is a critically acclaimed playwright from Vancouver, British Columbia. Her plays have been produced across Canada and in the U.S. including the Globe Theatre, The Grand, the Arts Club Theatre and the Belfry. Other plays include Miss Teen, Under The Influence, RAGE (winner of the 2005 Sydney Risk prize for Outstanding Original Play), and the acclaimed Poster Boys, which premiered at the Arts Club Theatre in 2008. Her plays for young audiences, commissioned by Green Thumb Theatre for Young People, include Cool, Invisible Girl, The Skinny Lie and Tree Boy. Michele was nominated for the 2008 Siminovitch Prize.

Featuring actors Michael Linden, Greg Holt, Patrick Bynane, and Ashlee Elizabeth Bashore, the play will run Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, March 6 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.
