Theatre Frisco will be presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's award winning musical, Evita. Evita charts the young and ambitious Eva Peron's meteoric rise to sainthood. Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, the Tony-winning musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to, as wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron, the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33.. 7) An Evening with Fran Lebowitz Re-Scheduled at Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that the Fran Lebowitz show has been rescheduled. Previously scheduled for two shows on March 31 and April 1, the show was canceled due to a malfunction of the fire suppression system in the Wyly Theatre. Author, journalist and social observer Fran Lebowitz will now appear for one night only at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 1 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
