Anything Goes at Lorain Community Music Theater

Lorain Community Music Theater sets sail with the iconic Tony Award-winning musical ANYTHING GOES July 13th, 14th, 20th, & 21st at 7:30 p.m. and July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the beautiful Lorain Performing Arts Center (2600 Ashland Ave., Lorain)! Music, dance, laughs, and the age-old tale of Boy Meets Girl - no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES! A hilarious shipboard romp, wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores, ANYTHING GOES is delightful, delicious, and de-lovely. It is set aboard the ocean liner S.S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle onboard the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his partner-in-crime Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart. All is set aboard the magical ship where "Anything Goes!"
