Just Us Girls

Nealshow Productions presents Just Us Girls, a new play written and directed by Pat Radke and inspired by the great Italian giallo films of Umberto Lenzi, Sergio Martino, and Lucio Fulci, among others.

After her husband, financier Frank Pereira, is murdered coming home from work, Lorna hires gumshoe Ferryboat Branton to track down the killer. On her treacherous path to the truth, Ferryboat encounters a dubious attorney, a professional dominatrix, the proprietor of an adult lemonade stand, a struggling playwright, prescription pills, Malbec, a hot new dance album, sex, and more murder.

Just Us Girls blends giallo trappings with Nealshow’s brand of fear and laughter. Featuring music from composer Coleman Zurkowski, the show stars Hannah Boutilier, Sierra Buffum, Gabby Cointreau, Liz Greenwood, and Leslie Halverson. Who can transform a Chicago winter's night into a hotbed of passion, death, and fear? Just Us Girls. That's who.

All audience members must show proof of vaccination at the door and remain masked inside the venue.

Cast

Hannah Boutilier
Hannah Boutilier
Cynthia Vernon
Hannah has been a professional actor for over thirteen years on stage and screen. She is THRILLED to be making her Nealshow Productions debut! Recent credits include: You Must Be The Mom (Pocket Theatre VR), Bechdel Fest 9 (Broken Nose Theatre) Footholds Vol 3 (The Imposters Theatre Company) and the Jeff Recommended When There Are Nine (PrideArts). Recent film credits: Happily Married Woman (Lakefront Pictures), What Say You?, and videos with The Onion and Aldi. Hannah is also the owner and founder of HBBiz for Actors, where she passionately provides self taping, acting coaching, and other services for actors in Chicago and nationwide. As a horror film/true crime lover, she is pretty sure this show and role were made for her. Thank you to Pat and team for believing in her. As always, for Zac.
Sierra Buffum
Sierra Buffum
Alice Pereira
Sierra is tickled to bits to be performing in their first Nealshow Productions show. They’ve performed with Accidental Shakes, MPAACT, Stray Dog Theatre, PS Burlesque, and co-founded Harlequin Girls, a performance home for burlesque emo kids. They’re also a trauma-informed yoga instructor and currently training for their yoga therapy certification.
Gabby Cointreau
Gabby Cointreau
Attorney Joan Dolphin
Gabby makes her theatre stage debut with Just Us Girls! Prior to donning her actor’s gown, Gabby worked as a brand ambassador for Gorton's Seafood. She kindly thanks Shelley and also Pat and Dave, who are great.
Liz Greenwood
Liz Greenwood
Ferryboat Branton
Liz is excited to be back for her sixth Nealshow production, having previously appeared in Preferences, Death Is So Much Worse, Just Chilling, An Other Slice, and The Right Amount of Tequila. When she's not exploring truth in fantasy with Nealshow, Liz "does bits" as a touring stand-up comedian. She regularly performs around Chicago and has been selected for over 20 festivals, including SF Sketchfest, the HBO Women in Comedy Fest, and Cleveland Comedy Festival, where she was named Best of the Fest. Liz also co-hosts Food For Pod, a weekly comedy podcast about food and restaurants.
Leslie Halverson
Leslie Halverson
Lorna Pereira
Leslie is tickled to return to the Nealshow multiverse, having previously leant her stage management and directing skills to both Camping: The Musical, and The Right Amount of Tequila, and appearing as Pat in The Coming Out Party. She works primarily with the Hyde Park Community Players (HPCP), where she has been featured both on and off the stage. She is especially proud to have directed Twelfth Night, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and Airline Highway for HPCP, and to have appeared as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing last summer. She kindly thanks her cats, Benny and Lando, for their eternal support - Lando for being a sweet squishy angel who makes every day better, and Benny for...for, uh...breaking her stuff, eating toilet paper and...getting into places he shouldn't be... Honestly, Benny can kick rocks. Good snuggler, though.

Pat Radke
Pat Radke
Producer, Director, and Writer
Despite the beyond ludicrous accusation of a certain co-producer and erstwhile friend, who shall remain unnamed to spare the emotions of his family, Pat is thrill6d to pi6c6s to be a part of what is probably around the 11th production from Nealshow Productions!
Dave Satterwhite
Dave Satterwhite
Producer and Sound & Lighting Designer
Dave is “pleased as punch” to participate in another great Nealshow Production despite this play's auteur, whom he thinks might be the Devil.
