Mary, A Holiday Dansical is a modern retelling of Black Nativity that weaves together ballet, hip hop, tap, and contemporary dance. The story follows a teenage girl named Mary, portrayed by Destiny Johnson, as she navigates the challenges of adolescence and receives guidance from an angel. The cast of 35 includes Emani Drake, who appears courtesy of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater. Special guest Nia Sioux will discuss the importance of safe spaces for Black and Brown girls before the show.
