Manual Cinema will bring its handmade stage productions FRANKENSTEIN and Manual Cinema's Christmas Carol back to Chicago's Studebaker Theater, following the company's film premieres at the Obama Presidential Center Museum.
Chicago’s historic Fine Arts Building and Studebaker Theater just announced the return of Manual Cinema’s Christmas Carol to the Studebaker for a limited run this holiday season, December 12–28, 2025.
Experience a reimagined holiday classic as Manual Cinema brings A CHRISTMAS CAROL to the Studebaker Theater from December 13-29.
Few dramatic adaptations of A Christmas Carol manage to convey the magic, the emotional power, and—yes—the terror of Dickens’s original as effectively and impactfully as Manual Cinema’s version, now playing at Writers Theatre in Glencoe through December 24th.
Due to popular demand, Manual Cinema's Christmas Carol, the critically acclaimed, 2020-set streaming adaption of Charles Dickens's holiday classic, has been extended and will now be available for on-demand viewing through December 31.
Manual Cinema, the Chicago-based interdisciplinary performance collective, will take on the most famous holiday tale of all time with Manual Cinema's Christmas Carol, a world premiere, live streaming adaption of Charles Dickens's holiday classic created specifically for the 2020 holiday season.
