Buffalo Theatre Ensemble opens its 40th anniversary season with Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, adapted by Lauren Gunderson, running November 12 through December 13, 2026, at the Playhouse Theatre at McAninch Arts Center. The production follows the four March sisters — Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy — as they navigate growing up during the Civil War in Massachusetts, chasing dreams, confronting loss and discovering the power of family. Gunderson's adaptation brings fresh vitality and emotional clarity to Alcott's classic novel, celebrating imagination, resilience and the bonds that shape who we become.
