Dial M for Murder, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from Frederick Knott's original and directed by Steve Scott, is a classic suspense thriller presented by Buffalo Theatre Ensemble as part of its 40th anniversary season. A carefully constructed murder plot begins to unravel in unexpected ways, setting off a razor-sharp battle of wits filled with deception, twists and chilling surprises. Knott's story originated as a 1952 BBC broadcast before moving to London and Broadway stages and a 1954 Alfred Hitchcock film. The production runs January 28 through February 28, 2027 at the Playhouse Theatre at McAninch Arts Center.
