Happy Birthday Mars Rover, written by Preston Choi and directed by Kara Toll, opens Sandbox Theatre Collective's fourth season with performances at Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro from June 19 through July 5, 2026. The play is made up of absurd and poignant vignettes that form a collage of existential dread and the beauty of human nature. The cast includes Ruby Gibson, Cooper Eidson, Kandace Mack, Gustavo Duran, Emma Marie Montoya, and Nathan LoPinto, who together bring to life a darkly comedic and whimsically morbid world suited for those who wrestle with existential dread while still finding delight in humanity.
