Dance Theatre of Harlem: Firebird, Donizetti Variations, Return at The Auditorium

Dance Theatre of Harlem returns to Chicago for the first time in a decade with a one-night-only program. The evening features the recently revived Firebird, a Caribbean-set reimagining of the classic ballet choreographed by John Taras with designs by Geoffrey Holder and Leo Holder. Also on the bill are Donizetti Variations, choreographed by George Balanchine, and Return, a fusion of post-modern urbanism and neoclassicism choreographed by Robert Garland set to music by James Brown and Aretha Franklin.
