Photo Flash: HORRIBLE to Open at the Apollo 11/6

Hobo Junction is proud to announce the World Premiere of HORRIBLE, a new comedy by Josh Zagoren, the mastermind behind Hobo Junction and author of the hit show BAD GUYS IN SUITS. HORRIBLE, Hobo Junction's Seventh production is a comedy about love, death and cannibalism. The show will run from November 6 through December 29, 2009 at the Apollo Theater.

Malcolm Garrish is a doctor with a great deal of patience. Holly Goodly is a good-natured cannibal trying to save her family and failing flower shop. This is the story of how they met and fell in love in the wake of murders, ghosts and the soon to be world famous “Holly Ham”.
 
The cast includes Bryan Campbell as Mr. Hunt, Madeline Chilese as Holly Goodly, Elliott Fredland as Humphrey Garrish, Tara Generalovich as Hildabrand Goodly, Christopher Rex Jacobs as Herman Manners, Cyra K. Polizzi as Meredith Goodly, Bob Pries as Tom Goodly, Keith Redmond as Gill, Judi Schindler as Claudia Garrish, Kaelan Strouse as Gordon Garrish, and Mike Tepeli as Malcolm Garrish.

Hobo Junction has been called "A solid hour of laughs" by Chicagoist.com, "Genius" by the Chicago Reader and "Wacky" by FOX News Chicago. Hobo Junction, the dark pirates of the Chicago scene, was founded by Josh Zagoren and a robot named ZBOT in 2004 and has since gone on to become a darling of theater goers and comedians all over the city. Hobo Junction has grown into a company made up of talented artists with experience in all aspects of theatre, and with their solid blend of silly and smart, they have produced a celebrated six original shows in their time here, two of them with three extensions, and they don't want to slow down any time soon.

The Apollo Theater is located at 2540 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL  60614.  Performances will be held Fridays and Saturdays @ 8:00 p.m. (No Shows Thanksgiving Weekend - November 27 & 28).

The Apollo has a valet-assisted parking lot at the north side of the building for $10.00 per car.   Attendants will direct you to a parking spot, but they will not take your keys.   The Apollo is also easily accessible by CTA trains and buses.  The Fullerton "L" stop (Red, Brown & Purple lines) is located only a few minutes away from the theater.
