Harrisburg Shakespeare Company will continue its 2012-2013 Mainstage Season with Aaron Posner's MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, adapted from the novel by Chaim Potok, which will run Todays, Saturdays, and Sundays from tonight, January 18 - February 3 at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the Third Floor of Strawberry Square, Downtown Harrisburg.

Theatre Harrisburg will present the Harrisburg premiere of the hit 2006 Tony Award winning musical comedy THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Opening Friday, February 1 at Whitaker Center, other performances are scheduled for February 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 & 17. Show times are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2 at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9 & 16 at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Touchstone Theatre presents Fresh Voices: ReEvolution, two evenings of original theatre performed, directed, and devised by the 2012-2013 Apprentice Class, on February 22 and 23, 2013 at 8pm. Fresh Voices is an annual showcase created by Touchstone Apprentices featuring original solo and ensemble works. This year, Kathryn Krull, Kyle Lewis, Kayla Prestel, and Gary Warren share their unique artistic visions, push boundaries, and break the rules of what it means to 'make theater.'
Gettysburg Community Theatre to Present THE FANTASTICKS, Beginning 1/25

The Gettysburg Community Theatre will kick off their new 2013 season with the musical The Fantasticks (yes that is the way the show title is spelled), which is the world's longest running show. It will play at GCT located at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in downtown Gettysburg January 25 and 26 at 7pm and January 26 and 27 at 2pm. Tickets are $15 reserved seating and include a wine reception. Tickets can be ordered online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org or by calling the theatre at 717-334-2692 or at the door one hour before show time.

Open Stage of Harrisburg Executive Artistic Director Donald Alsedek directs another installment of August Wilson's acclaimed Century Cycle of plays exploring the Black experience in America Following at the intimate Angino Family Theatre. Following last year's triumph with MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM, Alsedek takes on August Wilson's African-American epic, JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE. The production opens February 1 and closes February 23. Evening performances Thursday to Saturdays are at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees are at 2:00pm.
