Touchstone Theatre to Premiere Musical Fable BHUDOO

Touchstone Theatre premieres its new work Bhudoo, an original musical fable, with ten performances between March 31 and May 1, 2016 at various venues throughout the Lehigh Valley. Bhudoo, directed by Touchstone artistic director Jp Jordan, features original songs written by Jordan and Touchstone ensemble associate and Bhudoo playwright Christopher Shorr. The Touchstone acting ensemble - Bill George, Emma Chong, and Mary Wright - performs the 80-minute one-act comedy.

Gamut Theatre to Present THE SEAGULL

Gamut Theatre Group's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company (HSC) opens Anton Chekhov's The Seagull on March 12, 2016 on the Select Medical Mainstage at the New Gamut Theatre located at 15 N. 4^th Street in downtown Harrisburg. The box office and bar will open at 6:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the performance are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors/military, and $15 for students and can be purchased in advance at www.GamutTheatre.org (http://www.gamuttheatre.org/) . Following the performance, a reception will be held where guests can meet and mingle with the cast and crew while enjoying refreshments. Tickets to the opening night reception are sold separately.

Cindy Steele, Chief Operating Officer of York's Central Market, Randy Riley, Controller for Menasha Packaging, Kevin Alvarnaz, Director of Community Health and Wellness at WellSpan Health, and Jim Tyson, employed by the Home Depot and pastor at City Church York, bring focus and expertise to the team. Our three Teen Advisors: Jacob Schlenker, a 9th grader at York County School of Technology, Grace Shelton, a freshman at Christian School of York, and Brice Leidy, a freshman at York Catholic, add the younger voices and viewpoints necessary to the mission.
DreamWrights Youth and Family to Host Fundraiser FLIPPIN' BROADWAY, 3/5

On March 5, DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre is flipping things around in the name of fun and fundraising. They are hosting a special event called Flippin' Broadway which is a cabaret of Broadway show tunes with a fun twist.  Rodd Robertson, DreamWrights actor and Guest Director, came up with the idea. Robertson explains, "A few years ago, another actor and I were discussing songs we would never get to sing in a traditional Broadway show.  We were having a great time imagining what it would be like to perform songs as those characters and suddenly we looked at each other and asked why we couldn't stage a show where we could perform those songs?!" And the idea for Flippin' Broadway was born.
