The Reading Theater Project presents a preview of their upcoming June production, Da Ponte - The Outrageously True and Charmingly Infamous Life of that Glorious Jewish Catholic Priest, Genius Librettist who Inspired Mozart-of-All-People, Master of Italian Literature and Bringer-Of-It to America, Toothless Businessman, Pennsylvania Resident, Superb Lover of (All) Women, and So Many Other Topics and Situations. The preview will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 701 Penn St, Reading PA 19601, on Friday, April 8th at 9:30pm as a part of Boscov's Berks JazzFest. General admission is fifteen dollars.

Millersville Student directed by Christian Kriebel. The year is 1985 in New Jersey when a wannabe rock star (professional wedding singer) is left at the altar. The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer's sparkling new score does for the '80s what Hairspray did for the '60s. Rated PG-13. MU TIX does not apply. First opening in 1947 at the Biltmore Theater, The Heiress has had a long and storied history on Broadway. After a successful first run, it was revived four times, most recently in 2012. In 1947, a successful film version starred Olivia de Havilland as the titular character. Ephrata Performing Arts Center will be bringing this emotional tale to the Sharadin Bigler Theatre from March 17 to March 26, 2016.

On Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m., the York Symphony Orchestra will present "Lullaby of Birdland," a performance that highlights pieces named for nature's original aviators. The evening will include iconic selections including Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" and Rossini's "La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie)" as well as the Pennsylvania premiere of Dan LockLair's 2007 composition "Phoenix for Orchestra." The York Symphony Orchestra's own John Eaken, Concertmaster, will also be showcased during a presentation of Vaughan Williams pastoral romance, The Lark Ascending.

The Fulton Theatre has announced that it is one of the first regional theatres in the country to be awarded the rights to produce Disney's smash-hit musical Newsies from June 6 - July 23, 2017. Newsies will close out the previously announced 2016/2017 season. The Fulton Theatre's Artistic Director Marc Robin stated "We are ecstatic to produce Newsies in 2017. This show is a perfect bookend to our season and will resonate with the Fulton's audiences, who appreciate a great book, incredible music and energetic dance."
