Students must be at least 10 years of age to register for the Theatrical Makeup Camps. The Belmont Summer Camps start June 25 with Into the Woods Jr. and run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Adapted by Eric Coble from the novel by Lois Lowry, the performance promises to be less of a show and more of an experience. Guest Director, Philip Rooney explains, "We've placed the audience right at the center of the action and at times they may feel like they're playing a participatory role in the community of the play. Many important moments in the play are not the action itself, but rather distant memories of history which the audience will get to experience along with the main character, Jonas."

Akeelah and the Bee was first seen on the big screen in 2006. Written and directed by Doug Atchison, the film follows the journey of a young girl, Akeelah Anderson, who overcomes a variety of challenges to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The film was adapted for the stage by playwright Cheryl West and first appeared on stage in 2015. This inspiring, family-friendly show is directed by Sharia Benn and Stuart Landon and produced in partnership with Sankofa African American Theatre Company at Open Stage Harrisburg. In a fitting introduction not only to Sankofa African American Theatre Company but also to Akeelah and the Bee, Sharia Benn stated that our community, our nation, and our world need opportunities like the ones presented by theatre to 'understand that even though we are different, we are so much the same.'
Hershey Area Playhouse Announces a Change to the Season

Hershey Area Playhouse is delighted to announce that we were able to get the rights to do a popular revival of a 60's farce- Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti, Beverly Cross and Francis Evans, produced by special arrangement with Samuel French. This classic fast paced comedy will be performed in our April slot in place of Italian American Reconciliation, bringing close calls, slamming doors and lots of physical comedy to light up the stage. Auditions will be held on Friday, February 23rd from 6 - 8 PM in the theatre. Please come with a prepared monologue. You may also be asked to read cuttings from the script. Callbacks will be by appointment only.

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present the international hit musical GODSPELL 8pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm Sundays March 2-18, 2018. GCT's Founding Executive/Artistic Director Chad-Alan Carr is directing and choreographing and this production marks the 7th time he has done Godspell in his career and the second time at GCT. This being the 10th year of GCT, Carr has selected productions from GCT's history to revive. The last time Godspell was produced at GCT was 2012 right after a successful broadway revival had premiered in NYC. One member of GCT's original 2012 cast, Kevin Foster, is again in this 2018 revival production at GCT.
