Hershey Area Playhouse Theatre Academy Camp Slots Going Fast

Back this year by popular demand, the Hershey Area Playhouse Theatre Academy offers acting camps for all ages. You asked and we listened, this year's campers will be offered extended hours in our June performance camp for the middle and upper grades based on requests from our campers and their parents who responded to our recent survey.

It's not too late to register youth for a fun-filled acting camp experience at the Hershey Area Playhouse, but only if you hurry. The popular July Gardens camp is already full, but there are a few spots left in our June performance camp. June performance based sessions are offered for students of all ages, from rising first graders to rising twelfth graders.

Camp sessions will begin on Monday, June 18th and run for two weeks, meeting weekdays at the playhouse. Each age group will be performing a fully scripted play to be featured in an evening performance the last day of class. Kids Camp Jr. for grades 1-3 will focus on the intersection of imagination and performance, tweens and young teens in grades 4-6 will attack plays by analyzing roles and jumping into characters through games and exploration and teens in grades 7-12 will practice audition skills, script analysis and role preparation for a fully scripted play.
