DreamWrights Center For Community Arts Now Accepting Submissions for NEW FABLE FESTIVAL
The York, PA festival will also feature Mother Goosed and world premieres, directed by Hannah Kuhn and Christine Koslosky.
DreamWrights is inviting playwrights of all ages to submit original, family-friendly short plays for the New Fable Festival. Seeking 10-15 minute fables that feature 2-8 animal characters (real or imagined-no humans) and reflect DreamWrights' mission of inclusive, inter-generational creative education. Artist Director Gregory DeCandia states that DW is "seeking the communities creativity to be combined with our 28 years of producing thought provoking family friendly theatre to South Central PA to devise a dynamic festival of shows fun for all ages." The festival will be under the direction of Hannah Kuhn and Christine Koslosky.

Five finalists chosen by local theater artists will be read at the Studio Series on First Friday, August 7

DreamWrights community vote will select one play to receive a full production during the festival, which runs September 18-27 (six performances)

Submission Requirements:
- Submit your original play through this form
- Include playwright contact info (name, pronouns, phone, email, website and/or social media)
- PDF format only
- Scripts must be 10-15 minutes, typed, and clearly labeled with title, playwright name, scenes, stage directions, and character names
- Include character descriptions for each role
- All pages must be numbered and labeled with Title / Playwright(s) name
- Only ONE submission per playwright
- All ages welcome to submit
- Submissions must be original and NOT AI-generated
