Caffe Cino is widely recognized as the birthplace of Off-Off-Broadway theater, located in the heart of Greenwich Village from 1958 to 1968. Caffe Cino is also highly significant as a pioneer in the development of LGBTQ+ theater, at a time when it was still illegal to depict homosexuality on stage.
Join us as OUT/PLAY tributes the trailblazers! Performances dates: Oct 8 at 7PM, Oct 9 at 7PM, Oct 10 at 7PM, Oct 11 at 7PM, and Oct 12 at 3PM at The Chain Theatre (312 W 36th St Fl 4, New York, NY 10018).
CAFFE CINO: ONE ACTS will feature selections from Dames at Sea by George Haimsohn, Robin Miller, Jim Wise (1966); The Zoo Story by Edward Albee (1958); The Madness of Lady Bright by Lanford Wilson (1964); and Goodnight, I Love You by William M. Hoffman (1965).
