Lumberyard Contemporary Performing Arts in New York City and RSF Social Finance have closed on a $5 million loan to construct a state-of-the-art facility near the Hudson River waterfront in Catskill, New York. The financing represents a meaningful step forward in Lumberyard's efforts to economically and culturally revitalize the region where its new campus will open in the spring of 2019. The location will also serve artists by providing them with technical support and residencies before a national or New York premiere.

The piece, written by Ms. Layton and developed and directed by Julie Kline, is a fictional exploration of the women and children who passed through the real-life Magdalene Laundries as slave laborers in twentieth century Ireland, and of the complicity of church and government officials in hiding their tragic stories.

On April 28 he released a new EP titled 1932, presenting a collection of songs performed exclusively on his cherished 1932 National Guitar which he purchased during his first tour of the U.S. He shares, "I've always found my old National guitar to be such an inspiring instrument. It's always given that 'instant mojo' to every track I've used it on in the past. I thought it was high time I did a project purely on this fantastic machine."
