Cast Announced For BEEHIVE THE 60'S MUSICAL At The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival

Concluding the 60th Anniversary season at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) is Beehive - The 60s Musical. The show runs September 21 through October 6 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.
Geva Theatre Center Names Pirronne Yousefzadeh As New Director Of Engagement And Associate Artistic Director

Artistic Director Mark Cuddy and Executive Director Christopher Mannelli have announced that Pirronne Yousefzadeh will be joining Geva Theatre Center in the newly-created position of Director of Engagement / Associate Artistic Director. She will be a member of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for planning, leading and growing the organization's community engagement efforts. She will also be a key member of the artistic staff, participating in season planning and directing productions in both the Wilson and Fielding Stages. Ms. Yousefzadeh will begin her new position in September, and relocate to Rochester in the spring of 2019. Geva's new Engagement Department is supported in part by a grant from the Allen and Joyce Boucher fund of the Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Tony Manero is a clerk in a paint store in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. But he lives for Today evening and his visit to the local disco, 2001 Odyssey. At the disco Tony is no longer an inconspicuous employee, he is the king of the dance floor. There he meets dancer, Stephanie Mangano. The two decide to take part in a dance competition. Although Tony is interested in a relationship with Stephanie, she rejects him, thinking that she can pursue higher goals and meet a better selection of men in Manhattan. But Tony and Stephanie continue to rehearse and win the dance competition. However, Tony, not happy because a competing pair of Latino dancers was clearly better, hands the championship trophy to them. The dispute divides Tony and Stephanie. After some very tragic events, Tony and Stephanie decide to remain friends.
