Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and SAG Award nominee Norm Lewis will open the new season of Hamptons Summer Songbook By the Sea on Sunday, June 28, at 7:30 PM. Lewis will present a revue of songs hand-picked from his impressive resumé of the who’s-who among leading man roles and will lend his unique and insightful vocal versatility to selections ranging from jazz and blues, to soul, pop, and classic American favorites.
Before the show, we'll raise a toast to summer with spirits provided by BottleHampton and delicious passed hors d'oeuvres by East Hampton Kitchen. The evening will also feature the presentation of the Frances Ann Dougherty Award for Broadcast Philanthropy to Jean Shafiroff. The award honors leadership, generosity, and a lasting commitment to strengthening community through the power of media. Following the show, the audience is invited to mingle as sumptuous desserts are served, prepared by Chef Annie Washburn.
The annual concert series, Hamptons Summer Songbook By the Sea, running through August 29, brings Broadway and cabaret artists to an intimate setting in the Hamptons, combining world-class performances with cocktails, conversation, and community. Following opening night on June 28, the series continues with Ann Hampton Callaway on Saturday, July 11, Klea Blackhurst and Billy Stritch on Saturday, July 18, Eric Yves Garcia and Maria Abous on Saturday, July 25, Barbara Fasano and Eric Comstock on Saturday, August 1, KT Sullivan, Mark Nadler, Christine Pedi, and Stephanie Pope on Saturday, August 22, Pamela Morgan on Sunday, August 23, and closes with Donna McKechnie on Saturday, August 29.
