NBC (10.81 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1) was the top demo draw on Tuesday with a special two-hour THE VOICE" (12.06 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.6, #1) followed by the "NBC News Special: Sandy's Fury" (8.32 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.9, #3).

Here are the other highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

CBS (15.06 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) then finished in the number two spot with originals from "NCIS" (18.33 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (16.12 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #4) and "Vegas" (10.74 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7).

Next up was FOX (3.79 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) with new episodes of "Raising Hope" (4.09 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7), "Ben & Kate" (3.07 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T10), "New Girl" (4.81 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "The Mindy Project" (3.19 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #9).

Meanwhile, ABC (6.89 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) offered up a new "Dancing with the Stars" (11.79 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6) alongside week two of "Happy Endings" (4.72 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T10) and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (3.37 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #13) plus "20/20: The Perfect Storm" (4.82 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #12).

And finally, originals of "Hart of Dixie" (1.38 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14) and "Emily Owens, MD" (1.01 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) on The CW (1.19 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Dixie" delivered a 1.0 rating while "Emily" posted a 0.5 rating.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3; "Nightline," 1.0/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

* At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.4/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) beat "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/1/11):

CBS (15.41 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.2, #1) held onto the top spot on Tuesday thanks to fresh installments of "NCIS" (19.38 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (15.59 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.4, #3) and "Unforgettable" (11.27 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T8).

FOX (6.97 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2) then claimed the silver with the return of "Glee" (7.43 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.9, #4), a season low; "New Girl" (7.53 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 3.5, #2), a series low; and "Raising Hope" (5.49 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.5, #7).

Next up was ABC (11.04 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T3) wiht new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (9.30 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.6, #6), "Man Up!" (6.41 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.8, #12), "Dancing With the Stars" (15.21 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.8, #5) and "Body of Proof" (10.06 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #11).
