The Kinsey Sicks In THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T SAY In Toronto One Night Only Nov 1, 2018

Toronto (October 9, 2018) - Back by popular demand, The Kinsey Sicks, America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, will bring their critically-acclaimed show, Things You Shouldn't Say, to Toronto on November 1. Presented by SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival and Derrick Chua Entertainment, Things You Shouldn't Say is the remarkable true story of four friends from San Francisco who had a life-changing epiphany at a Bette Midler concert in 1993 that led them to form the a cappella group The Kinsey Sicks in an effort to find joy during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis. Things You Shouldn't Say will perform at The Al Green Theatre at the Miles Nadal JCC (750 Spadina Ave, Toronto) for one night only on Thursday, November 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets for Things You Shouldn't Say range in price from $25 - $35 and are on sale at http://bit.do/kinseytoronto

Now that the era of Trumpism is upon us, The Kinsey Sicks are sharing their hilarious, inspiring and, at times, heartbreaking tale, and showing that hatred and deceit can be fought with humor and heart. The show leads the audience in resisting these new dark times with laughter, integrity, and heroically high hair in an unforgettable new musical exploring Trumpism, racism, AIDS, extreme macramé, oblong vegetables and, of course, Bette Midler. From the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to London and Manhattan to D.C., Things You Shouldn't Say has garnered rave reviews. Forbes Magazine heralded it as "Riveting...a humbling, hilarious delivery system of painful truths...Things You Shouldn't Say will push buttons you didn't know you had," while The Washington Post deemed it "Outrageousness tinged with outrage... witty... hilarious... a band of such inventively diabolical brains... gets sardonically darker and rewardingly so...it's a piercing cry from the heart."

The show is part of The Kinsey Sicks' 25th Anniversary Tour, and the final Toronto performance of co-founder Benjamin Schatz as "Rachel" before his retirement. The Kinsey Sicks, whose cast also includes Jeff Manabat as "Trixie", Spencer Brown as "Trampolina" and Nathan Marken as "Winnie", have served up a feast of music and comedy to audiences at performing arts centers, music venues and comedy festivals throughout the U.S. and internationally. Their phenomenal performance record includes an Off-Broadway show, an extended run in Las Vegas, two feature films and three concert DVDs, nine albums, and appearances in over 40 states, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. The Kinsey Sicks' award-winning a cappella singing, sharp satire and over-the-top drag have earned them a diverse and devoted following around the world.
