CBS today announced that the second season of THE INSPECTORS, the first original scripted drama series to be part of the CBS DREAM TEAM, IT'S EPIC!, has started production in Charleston, S.C. The award-winning series will return to the acclaimed three-hour CBS Saturday morning block for season two in fall 2016 with 22 new episodes on the CBS Television Network.

THE INSPECTORS, part of the diverse, family-friendly Saturday morning lineup, was recently recognized by the Parents' Choice Foundation Award, the nation's oldest nonprofit consumer guide to quality children's media.

Set in Washington, D.C., and inspired by compelling real cases handled by the United States Postal Inspection Service, the series follows Preston Wainwright (Bret Green), a determined teen thriving after being paralyzed in a car accident, who works as an intern assisting his U.S. Postal Inspector mom, Amanda (Jessica Lundy), to solve crimes that deal with everything from internet scams, identity and mail theft to consumer fraud.

The second season will feature new storylines designed to entertain and educate the public. Preston will continue his mission to maintain a positive outlook on his paralysis as he grows closer to his best friend and love interest, Veronica (Erica-Marie Sanchez); Preston's best friend, Noah (Harrison Knight), will come into his own, and follow his passion to pursue a film major, despite his parents' wishes; and Amanda is offered a huge promotion, but a decision may force her to confront a choice between family and career.
