Savannah Bananas Player Jackson Olson Joins DANCING WITH THE STARS Season 35
Olson joins Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller for the new season.
Jackson Olson, internet personality and second baseman for the Savannah Bananas, is set to join Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars” as a celebrity contestant. The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers will be announced on Wednesday, Sept. 2, exclusively on “Good Morning America.”
For the new season, Olson joins Maura Higgins, star of “The Traitors” and “Love Island,” and Ciara Miller, star of “Summer House,” who were previously revealed as the first celebrities to compete this season. “Dancing with the Stars” will simulcast LIVE this fall across ABC and Disney+ and stream the next day on Hulu.
“Dancing with the Stars” broke records during its Season 34, culminating in the show’s best season finale in 10 years. For the second season in a row, “Dancing with the Stars” stands as the No. 1 entertainment series among Adults 18-49 and over 35 days of multiplatform viewing, averaging 10 million Total Viewers.
Season 34 celebrated a record-breaking year, with 72 million votes in the finale and nearly half a billion votes across the season. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios.
Olson hails from The Savannah Bananas, a song-and-dance sports team that plays a fast and entertaining take on the game of baseball called "Banana Ball". The players, which also include Broadway's Derek Klena, perform choreographed dances every game, including songs from Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, and more.
