Oxygen Media unveiled the launch today of its new online destination Very Real, which lives on Oxygen.com and features fresh and original content targeted to the network's young, female audience. From the office to relationships to personal style and digital culture, Very Real will cover a variety of lifestyle topics with new articles and video rolling out on the site every day from Oxygen's very own show talent, recognizable influencers and millennial women themselves.

"In furthering our commitment to deliver relatable content, 'Very Real' looks to entice and engage millennial women with material that excites them and encourages them to share across platforms," said Lisa Hsia, Executive Vice President of Digital, Bravo and Oxygen Media. "From tips on how to avoid online dating disasters to insight on how to break into a new career, the site will give Oxygen fans their daily fix on the topics that resonate with them most."

Very Real will be home to digital content including shareable videos, in-depth features, blogs, quizzes, listicles and more:

Expert advice from the pros you know: The new platform will launch with commentary from influencers with various areas of expertise - from Randi Zuckerberg of "Time to Quit Your Day Job," giving tips on bad habits to avoid in the workplace to advice from Nick Cannon of "Next Gen Boss" (working title) discussing how to manage a team and run a successful business. Very Real's content will center around four main categories: careers and entrepreneurship, relationships, personal style and pop culture.

More original content for the millennial woman: Very Real will be a new destination offering original content that resonates most with Oxygen's young, female audience. As the network gears up for its June premieres, the site will roll out an original video series featuring Yamaneika Saunders of "Funny Girls" interviewing the female MCs from "Sisterhood of Hip Hop" about their experiences trying to make it in the male-dominated hip hop industry. Additionally, Very Real will offer interactive quizzes ranging from "Is He Playing You?" - inspired by the new series "Player Gets Played" - to "What Type of Millennial are You?" and editorial features, such as "What Tinder Profile Pics Really Say About Guys" from Nicole Schrieber of "Funny Girls."

New platforms for storytelling: The best headlines from Very Real will be featured in weekly on-air promos and graphics, and content from the platform will be shared across multiple Oxygen social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. Very Real will also produce a live weekly video series that will live solely on social media. Through the Periscope app, Very Real will provide live access to Oxygen talent, production sets, creative executives and producers, as well as real time coverage of people, places, and events that matter most to young women. Very Real launches today with its first Periscope featuring an on-set interview with the investors of Oxygen's upcoming show, "Time to Quit Your Day Job," including Randi Zuckerberg, Ido Leffler, Lauren Maillian and Sarah Prevette. For more details, follow Oxygen on Periscope.

Oxygen continues to be a social media trendsetter and leader in engaging young women and was ranked as the #3 most social cable reality network in 2014. To generate excitement around the Very Real launch, Oxygen will roll out celebratory looping videos (GIFs optimized for Facebook) at the top of every hour of the day across our show and brand pages driving users back to the site. The new online HUB will make it easier than ever for the network's young audience to access digital content across platforms centering around topics they care about most, including careers and entrepreneurship, love and relationships, personal style and pop culture.
