On Sunday June 29th Oprah will be interviewing Melissa Moore, the author of "Shattered Silence." Oprah is showcasing the remarkable healing that has taken place in her life, and where Melissa is now.

"Shattered Silence," is available at local bookstores, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, Cedar Fort, Books and Things, The Marketplace by The Blaze.

Melissa Moore understands how hard it is trying to hold on to your personal dignity when your last name is associated with evil. Everywhere you turn, the media is capturing your worst nightmare with headlines that will forever etch your last name in public disgrace. She knows how it feels to discover that the person you were living with, and share DNA with, had a double life. She knows the pain of being blindsided when lies are exposed and lives crumble. Left standing alone, family members of violent offenders exile themselves into silence and unaddressed grief. This is the turmoil family members of guilty killers live with when the courtrooms empty and the media goes home.

At age 15, Melissa discovered the shocking secret that her father, a truck driver, was responsible for slaughtering eight young women throughout the U.S. Her father, Keith Jesperson, known as the "Happy Face Killer," is currently serving multiple life sentences in Oregon.

Lifetime network is now airing "Happy Face Killer," a movie starring David Arquette.
You can also pick up a copy of "Shattered Silence," written by Melissa Moore, at Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.

Since 2008, Melissa has helped over 300 family members of serial killers, psychopaths, and violent offenders. Moore knows the daunting task of what it takes to mourn and heal from the grief:

"Our grief and trauma often goes unaddressed and is ampli?ed when the crime is reported on a national scale and when we don?t get our questions answered for the causes of 'how' or 'why' our relative became the public enemy and mass murderer."

About Shattered Silence:

Throughout her life, Melissa Jesperson Moore had to hide her true identity. She had pretended that life was perfect after her parents divorced and she was suddenly uprooted from everything familiar and loving. She had to be silent, and to pretend not to be disturbed or upset by her father's actions. Those experiences prepared Melissa to hide the deepest, darkest secret of all. As she began making different choices, building a successful and loving life on her own, her heart began to fill with rays of hope, though she could never quite rid herself of the dark shadow of secrecy and shame. Then one day, her beautiful, innocent daughter looked into her eyes and said, "Mommy, everybody's got a daddy. Where's your daddy?" Shattered Silence is an astonishing, true narrative of personal and spiritual transformation. From her secret life as "the daughter of The Happy Face Serial Murderer" to a woman that bared her soul and inspired millions, Melissa leads the reader on the vulnerable, compelling, and sometimes very raw journey of what it took to shatter the silence, and reclaim her own sense of purpose and dignity.
