LABYRINTH Sequel In the Works?

Some rumors are too good to be true.
Earlier this week, Variety reported that the Jim Henson Company was developing a sequel to LABYRINTH (1986), cult-classic fantasy film starring Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. However, Entertainment Weekly is now reporting that the company is working on new films, Fraggle Rock, and a sequel to Dark Crystal, and a LABYRINTH sequel was suggested, but is not in development.
In LABYRINTH, fifteen-year-old Sarah accidentally wishes her baby half-brother, Toby, away to the Goblin King Jareth who will keep Toby if Sarah does not complete his Labyrinth in thirteen hours.
