Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt to Join Chris Hemsworth in THE HUNTSMAN

According to Variety, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt have signed on for Universal's upcoming film THE HUNTSMAN. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will helm the film.

The pair join Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, who are back as as 'The Huntsman' and 'Ravenna' in the follow-up to SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, which details how the pair crossed paths before meeting Snow White.

Nicolas-Troyan worked on visual effects for the first SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN movie, as well as Disney's MALEFICENT. He is also working on the upcoming filmsBETHLEHEM and HIGHLANDER.

THE HUNTSMAN will hit theaters on April 22, 2016.

Chastain recently made her Broadway debut in the revival of 'The Heiress' opposite Dan Stevens. She has received major accolades for her roles in films like Ralph Fiennes' CORIOLANUS, John Madden's THE DEBT, John Hillcoat's LAWLESS, Jeff Nichols' TAKE SHELTER, Terrence Malick's THE TREE OF LIFE and Tate Taylor's THE HELP (for which she received her first nomination last year for an Academy Award).

She was recently seen on the big screen in Andrés Muschietti's MAMA and Katherine Bigelow's Academy Award nominated film, Zero Dark Thirty, Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, and Liv Ullmann's adaptation of August Strindberg's MISS JULIE.
