Drew Barrymore, Jamie Lee Curtis, Halle Berry in New Special
The compilation strings together full-length segments rather than quick highlight clips.
THE Drew Barrymore SHOW released a compilation gathering some of its most notable sit-downs with veteran Hollywood stars, pulling together extended segments with Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael and Cameron Douglas, Halle Berry, Brendan Fraser and Laura Dern. Rather than a quick highlight reel, the video preserves each conversation as its own lengthy block, giving Barrymore room to dig into wide-ranging discussions with guests spanning multiple generations of film work.
The compilation opens with nearly forty minutes devoted to Curtis before moving into a joint appearance with Michael and Cameron Douglas, followed by an extended conversation with Berry that runs over half an hour. Fraser and Dern round out the collection, each given dedicated time rather than a brief promotional exchange.
By keeping each segment intact, the special allows viewers to see the rapport Barrymore has built with recurring guests over separate appearances, rather than compressing the conversations into soundbites. The pairing of Michael and Cameron Douglas together in one segment gives that portion of the special a distinct dynamic compared to the solo interviews surrounding it.
The release follows a similar compilation format the show has used before, as seen in its gathering of conversations with Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Paris Hilton, which similarly preserved extended blocks from individual visits rather than trimming them into a shorter highlight package.
