The actors talk with host Evan Ross Katz about how they first got involved with the drama.

Evan Rachel Wood and Wes Bentley sat down with host Evan Ross Katz for the second episode of THE SHARDS Official Podcast, discussing how they each came to join the FX drama and the process of shaping their characters. The conversation also touched on their work with castmate Hayes Warner, offering listeners a closer look at the collaborative dynamic behind the series.

THE SHARDS is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and adapted from the bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the series follows a group of privileged high school seniors at an elite prep school navigating identity, sex, jealousy and obsession, with something more sinister lurking beneath their insulated world. Wood and Bentley are part of an ensemble that also includes Igby Rigney, Kaia Gerber, Homer Gere, Hayes Warner, Graham Campbell and Jordan Roth.

The Official Podcast, produced by FX in partnership with At Will Media, takes listeners behind the scenes with the cast episode by episode. The series' broader creative team includes Co-Executive Producer/Costume Designer Lou Eyrich, Costume Designer Josh Marsh, and Production Designer Cat Smith.

The podcast episode arrives as part of a broader promotional rollout for THE SHARDS, which has included a first look at the cast and creators introducing the series' 1980s Los Angeles setting and its central preoccupation with secrets hidden beneath a glossy surface.
