Bald, Beautiful, & Bold Benefit Fashion Show To Raise Funds for Upcoming Documentary I AM MORE THAN MY HAIR

Through the eyes and lens of filmmaker, photographer and author Alyscia Cunningham, she has the profound ability to capture inner-beauty that captivates both viewers and readers. Artdromeda Baltimore will present a closing reception and the Bald, Beautiful, & Bold Benefit Fashion Show, which will help raise funds for Cunningham's latest project, "I Am More Than My Hair," a documentary film and book soon to be released. This two-part project is dedicated to women who have experienced hair loss. The goal of her film and book is to redefine beauty by promoting inner-beauty despite hair loss.

"I am incredibly grateful for this upcoming fundraising event," said Cunningham. "This event wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the generous support from Carolyn Phillips, who's a model and participant in this project. Everyone involved has graciously offered to volunteer their time, including all models, make-up artists, designers, photographers, volunteers, hostesses and a dedicated planning committee. I am truly moved by the support I've received."

Hosted by Atartus Jenkins and sponsored by The Umbrella Syndicate, the Bald, Beautiful, & Bold Benefit Fashion Show brings her project to life, giving bald women, men, and children the chance to strut the runway while in support of Cunningham's project. Celebrity model, Hope Chioma, is participating along with blogger, April Clark. In addition, guests include Erica Strong, Nora Bonds and Rue Medley. Everyone is eager to participate in this one-of-a-kind fashion show that will bring the new film to the community.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Montgomery Park from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are only $25, VIP is $35 and children under 16 are free. Tickets can be purchased at www.baldbeautifulbold.eventbrite.com. Interested participants unable to attend the fashion show can still support Cunningham's fundraiser via her Fiscal Sponsor, Docs In Progress at www.docsinprogress.nationbuilder.com/hair

Carolyn Phillips is a 66-year old model with 25 years of professional experience. She has graced the runway for Stomp the Runway for Autism, Delta Fashion Show, FBI Fashion Show, Super Bowl Fashion Show and many more. Years ago, Carolyn voluntarily chose to cut her hair, but later in life, blood pressure medication caused hair loss. Despite Carolyn's experience, she confidently walks the runway knowing she is, without a doubt, beautiful in her own skin.
