Chris + Company Signs With 13 Music Ltd.

The popular southwest R&B group CHRIS + COMPANY, featuring the multi-talented artist Christopher Rodriguez, has signed a deal to release their next album on the 13 Music record label.

CHRIS + COMPANY has an eclectic sound, best described as taking a Funk back-beat and introduce elements of Latin percussion, Acid-Jazz, and Blues into the mix. The group features Rodriguez, with veteran musicians Ryan Barnett, Joe Coriz, and Jeff Jacobs.

"Chris's latest work exhibits his mature writing ability, with a funk back beat, jazz elements, and a hook that pulls you in every time" said 13 Music President Kevin Kaybill. "The almost machine-like rhythm of veteran drummer Jeff Jacobs from Southern Louisiana, provides the anchor accompanied by Joe Coriz on grinding bass guitar, and Ryan Barnett, a definitive guitar craftsman."

CHRIS + COMPANY was associated with the New Mexico indie label Chilly Chumba Records, before joining the regional 13 Music, which provides global distribution for its artists.

The new album titled "CHRIS + COMPANY" is scheduled for a release this Spring, and will feature "HANGIN' ON" the much anticipated single. "Chris Rodriguez takes on the vocals responsibly, with thought provoking lyrics, and a style of guitar playing that channels many players from the past but spins with his own signature" said Kraybill.
