'The China Connection'

CAPE CORAL, Fla., March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ An American senator is caught up in a web of sex, drugs and blackmail that threatens his presidential ambitions. If you remember the novel by Richard Condon or the movie starring Angela Lansbury, The Manchurian Candidate, you are sure to love the recently published political thriller by author, AJ Basinski, The China Connection.

The novel begins quietly enough on a cruise ship off the coast of Mexico. But when his wife, the exotic and beautiful Sun Li, is brutally attacked by a masked man, Lieutenant Mario Morales travels from South Florida to Panama and ultimately to Shanghai China in search of the attacker. It is there that Lieutenant Morales not only finds the attacker, he also uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy involving the Senator.

"As you are reading The China Connection, you may think that the story is taken from today's newspapers," says author, AJ Basinski. "You may wonder whether this is fact or fiction. You may even say to yourself 'this can't happen.' But maybe it already has," Basinski says. Basinski adds, "You'll have to decide for yourself."

The China Connection is the third thriller in the Lieutenant Morales trilogy, written by retired lawyer, AJ Basinski.

The first two novels in the trilogy are Dead in the Water and A Reservation for Murder.

All three books are available in paperback and e-book formats on Amazon and other outlets.
