Road Less Traveled Productions Secures Facility Agreement

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced that it has secured a facility agreement with the City of Buffalo to maintain operations of the Road Less Traveled Theater in the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre through a possible sale of the building by the City. The agreement assures continued RLTP educational and theatrical programming at the location, while the City manages matters related to future use, development, and ownership of the space.

Road Less Traveled Productions Continues With Operations and Upholds Mission

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced that cessation of film showings at the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre does not displace RLTP. RLTP is working with the City of Buffalo, the current building owner, to maintain operations in the space during any transition and through a possible sale of the building by the City. Ultimately, what entity gains control of the building, and under what use plan, may affect RLTP's ability to stay in the space and still meet its non-profit mission of fiscal responsibility, community inclusion, and artistic collaboration. As it has throughout its history, RLTP will maintain its quality educational programming and live theatre regardless of its location.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will present its fifth annual Buffalo Young Writers Night on Wednesday, May 21 at The Road Less Traveled Theater at the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre. Doors open at 7:00 pm with performances beginning at 7:30 pm. The evening will feature winners of the 2014 Buffalo Young Writers contest (or BYW), recognizing outstanding student playwrights in the WNY area. RLTP launched its Buffalo Young Writers contest in the fall of 2009 by giving high school and college student writers and playwrights the opportunity to submit their work for the chance of a professionally produced presentation.
