In this season’s second concert with Berklee College of Music faculty artists, the Stan Strickland Quartet brings Yuletide Jazz to Mosesian Arts. Come celebrate the winter solstice as we help to light the world with music and merriment. Stan Strickland – singer, saxophonist, flutist, actor – has played with the Boston Pops, the Village People, Aretha Franklin, and jazz greats Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, and Herbie Mann, and he’s opened for Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, and The Barenaked Ladies. In addition to being an associate professor of voice at Berklee and conducting voice and movement therapy workshops internationally, Stan is Co-Executive Director of Express Yourself, a nonprofit arts education organization serving young people with mental and behavioral health issues.
